Reaching out to those upset by this day...
..and the days to follow it…
Please consider that 77.3 million people do not constitute a “cult.” We are now made up of more and more of every demographic and ethnic and age and gender group in existence. The vast, overwhelming majority of us have hearts, and souls. We have welcomed a literal ton of “first-time Trump voters” this year. We continue to warmly welcome those who #WalkAway from the Democrat party, or from any or from no party. We are GLAD those of you have done so.
We don’t hate you if you didn’t vote the way we voted. The vast, overwhelming majority of us don’t hate. We love. We give a damn. We aren’t going to put you in camps, we aren’t going to make any of you slaves, we aren’t going to kill you or make you “handmaids.” No police officers died or were killed on January 6, 2021. Or as a result of it. Really. D.Y.O.R.
We aren’t going to destroy democracy, or the Constitution, and we aren’t going to “weaponize the DOJ/FBI/CIA” against anyone. We hope to stop those things from already being done. I could go on and on and on.
A former President you probably revere once said, “Elections have consequences, and…I won.”
You may be hoping our new President won’t be that godawful arrogant.
One could ask, “Well, if it’s ok for Democrats to say and think that, why not ok for Republicans?”
We are all Americans, at the start of this day, and at the end of this day. And every day. Please, I beg of you: get your side to stop the arrogant bullshit that “consequences” quote references and subsequently led to, or come on over to our side. The water’s fine.
You may have to seek information from sources other than your past go-to’s, to see truths that have been hidden from you. Read the stories linked on RealClearPolitics.com that you don’t automatically agree with. Every day. For a few months. Realize you haven’t been getting the whole story, accurately, for at least 8 years. (Actually longer)
This exercise may suck the big woonyatzel, for awhile. For even a long while. But it won’t kill you. Honest to God, it won’t, and neither will any of us 77.3 million. But if you don’t try it, well, you know what happens to a tree when it stops growing? It dies. Same with any living organism.
All you need do is see through one lie, big or small, that you thought was true. Then, hopefully, the thought will occur to you: what ELSE was I lied to about? (I know, ending a sentence with not one but TWO prepositions, ugh!)

Let’s all realize, we are not out to destroy each other, not even in retribution. I understand that’s what some of you have been led to believe, but it just ain’t true. Yes, we’re upset that some on your side already have tried to destroy us and ours this past four years. Justice for all, even those of us on our side who have been wronged, maybe?
And were the shoe on your foot, you would feel the exact. damn. same. Let’s toss that shoe in the fucking trash, though, for everyone, eh?
(and for the record, yes, I am from Noo Yawk too, one county away from and 12 years behind Trump, and yes, we do swear like this sometimes)
