Hi, I don't expect a reply, I am sending this to almost everyone I know, even Democrat supporters. As respectful, loving food-for-thought.
This was the 8th major assassination or attempted one in my 65 year lifetime. Even if it had been Biden, I'd be deeply, badly rocked by it. I vividly remember RFK Sr, MLK, George Wallace getting shot (was too young to have been really aware of JFK), and was each time horrified.
This “other countries” video, I believe it took place last month before the shooting, but I just found it. It is news to me. I sent it to my son and DIL just now. I am amazed by it. Gave me a perspective outside of our American one that maybe not many are talking of.
“UK video? Listen to their words, if not mine: Other countries having rallies to bring Trump back, for peace around the world.
“Will Putin, the Iranian mullahs or Xi, curb their aggressive tyrannies because of Biden, Harris, Obama or any Democrat? Have they done so, during Obama’s or Biden's terms. That answer is no, both times.
“Or will they rein themselves in because of this 👆American spirit?”
And did they rein themselves in, during Trump's term? That answer is yes, they did: we had no new wars, no invasions, no Iran getting billions to get closer to their own nukes. We had the Abraham Accords. Where's his Nobel Peace Prize for that?
Your vote, or abstinence from voting, will determine if those pleading for Trump's help with seeking peace again, will be helped, or not. And whether we will have a free country still, or not.
I'm a Noo Yawkuh, a (now) diehard pro-lifer, devout Roman Catholic, repentant post-abortive woman who has sought and found God's forgiveness, who had to hold my nose to vote for Trump. I've known who—and how crass— he is all my life (I grew up in Long Island, read the NY papers, my dad and 2 brothers were builders, in construction, doing jobs in NYC. We knew.). I still HATE how he's not 100% pro-life and cheated on every wife he ever had including Melania, at least in the beginning.
I should be, and once was, a single-issue voter.
I believe he is a changed man, now, as do many others. He now, humbly, credits God for being “with me” as he said in this video Monday:
Now? I would crawl through shattered glass over hot sulfurous coals on a sinking ship alone in the middle of the fucking Atlantic Ocean for this man to be President again. You might have felt it too if you saw this GoPro video by the Washington Post’s “@jabinbotsford” and heard the crowd's deafening roar when they realized Trump was standing on his own two feet again and able to signal he was gonna be ok:
…then at least be curious about “What if they lied to us about other stuff?”…
...and consider holding your nose for the better common good, worldwide. And let him be enabled again to do us, and the world, a world of good.
I don't Tweet or FB or IG or any of that, but if anyone is moved to quote me on social media, even in the entirety, feel free. All I ask is you say it was me, by name, who wrote it all.
